Frequently asked questions

Will all classrooms in each school be getting new furniture?

Furniture is not part of the referendum cost, but has been budgeted separately as part of the District’s annual budget process.

Why do classrooms need updates?

Education has changed over the years. Current curriculum emphasizes content and skill, as well as collaboration, communication, critical thinking, and creativity. We offer classes and opportunities that are different than when the buildings were first designed, and updated educational spaces, like STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics), Makerspace, and Innovation/Fab Lab, will allow us to more effectively engage students in their learning and to better meet the intentions of the curriculum. There are specific spaces within each building that will have been identified and will be addressed within the $16.37 million dollar referendum.
